Born and raised in Japan, Nobuo Ikeda began his career with a Japanese watch company in the 1970's.  He single-handedly opened a New York City branch for that same company.  Wanting to chase the American Dream he immigrated to the United States.  Having experience in the watch/jewelry field, he decided to work as a diamond grader in the largest diamond grading lab in the world for their LA offices.  Once he built up enough experience, he decided to open his own business with his wife.  In 1981, Ikeda Pearl Company was established.  With these combined years of experience across the watch/jewelry field he decided to specialize in pearls and provide his customer's with that wealth of experience and knowledge.
